Why INTERACTORS?

After years navigating the highs and lows of acting and directing, craving for more creative interaction and with a profound love and respect for the craft of acting and directing, I created Interactors with the desire to empower actors and directors alike and, over time, build a community of dynamic filmmakers.

In an age of disconnection and digital overload on top of endless conflicts in the world, human-centered stories are crucial for our society's wellbeing and movies and theatre remain some of the most powerful ways to help us connect, reflect, and heal.

The Team

Val Ducept

Founder and Trainer

An actor trained at Cours Florent School in Paris in the Acting in English program (2013-2016), I studied alongside international students where I received primarily an Anglo-Saxon education (preparation, sensory awareness, character work) with notions of the French approach (instinct, personality and text). After graduation, I collaborated on varied stage and film projects and amid an acting crisis following the pandemic, I took a course on Low Budget Filmmaking at UCLA extension which gave me the necessary tools to start a directing career, leading me to direct “Steps and a Move” (2022) and “So Long Man” (2024). I then have continued to train and expand my acting toolkit, attending casting director workshops, screen acting classes, two film workshops at Raindance (documentary and production), a Stanislavski workshop at Guildhall, and a refresher in acting at LAMDA (Meisner, improv, Uta Hagen). My approach to acting is organic and intuitive—I believe in the power of impulse, energy and individual sensitivity for a touching and genuine performance.

My varied side jobs from teaching languages and leading workshops with children, to working as a freelance barista in about 200 coffee shops across London have definitively informed my artistic work and improved my communication.

My priorities at Interactors: empowering actors in their choices and helping them embrace their unique energy, helping them connect to the story personally to make it theirs, finding the joy in the process, busting acting myths for directors and help them interact with the actors and so much more...
